SallyDr Sally Selby BDS DGDP (UK) - Dentist
Qualified at The Dental School of The University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1979. Sally has worked as a Senior House Officer at the Oral Surgery Department of Sunderland District General Hospital, and at Newcastle Dental School.

Sally also has experience of general dental practice in Blyth, Tynemouth, Gosforth, Chester-le-Street and Thornaby. She opened Nunthorpe Dental Practice in 1986.

Sally has four children ranging in ages from 23 down to 12, and her husband is a local GP.

MohinderMohinder Sira EDH - Dental Hygienist
Qualified at The School of Dental Hygiene, University of Cardiff in 1992. Her work experience has included working in a Maxillo Facial unit at University College Hospital London, and various private practices in Central London.

Mohinder joined Nunthorpe Dental Practice in 1996. Her work here is in addition to sessions in private practice in Yarm, at Bishop Auckland Maxillo/Orthodontic Department, and still occasionally in London.

Mohinder recently qualified as an Aromatherapist. She hopes to study further in this field, and wants to incorporate this in to her work. Mohinder is also a Medic in the Territorial Army and in 2003 she served in Kuwait and Basra as part of coalition operations in the Gulf. Her other interests include Health & Fitness, Cooking, Gardening, Yoga and Music.

AnnAnn Johnson - Dental Receptionist
Ann has been with the practice since 1988. Qualified as a Dental Nurse since November 1992 she runs the reception desk, but still helps in the surgery when required. She is married to Derek, a BT Contract Supervisor. They have two children; Gavin, an Electrician; and Lucy, recently qualified as an Occupational Therapist. Ann likes to keep fit, and enjoys various activities such as theatre, travelling and holidays.

Catherine Nixon - Dental Nurse
Catherine started at Nunthorpe Dental Practice in September 1996. She joined Shape Training and did a day release course in Dental Nursing, successfully completing the examination for Dental Nurses at Leeds Dental Hospital in November 1997.

She has studied British Sign Language and Greek in her spare time. She is married to Mike, who works at Nunthorpe School, and now has two little boys.

Paula Edwards - Dental Nurse
Paula recently joined Nunthorpe Dental Practice after a short career break. She has two young children and is married to Gary, a gardener/gamekeeper. Paula gained her Dental Nurse qualification in 1990, and assists on Reception and in the surgeries.
